THE IASA WINTER TOURNAMENT SHOW AT JESTER PARK HAS BEEN POSTPONED UNTIL NEXT SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 11TH!

Congratulations to Gretchen Stanislav on the purchase of the fixy pleasure mare, MY PHAIR LADY!  "Eliza" was purchased from Dreamacres LLC.

Congratulations to Kristen Stucker and Riley Corell on their new horses!  "Judge Jamie"  (barn name, "JJ") and Kristen will be working to team up for pleasure and equitation classes.  Riley and "Stock Up" (barn name, "Uppity", unless Wendy thinks of something else!!)  will be working hard on patterns and rail work.  Good luck with your awesome new horses!

The sign up is now on the bulletin board for the Winter Schooling Show at Jester Park on March 3.  Make sure to see Vikki or Amanda and sign up if you are interested in participating.

Santa visited Heartland Stables for Jordan DeRoos!  Jordan is the new owner of Phine Prowler!  Congratulations, Jordan!

Thanks so much to John and Susan Aschenbrenner for hosting our Heartland Stables Christmas Party Saturday evening.  What a good time!
Thank you all so much for the most generous Christmas gifts for the stable and staff.  We are so lucky to have such great people!!

Your gift $ are already at work!  Please excuse the mess in the viewing room as we have begun construction on a changing room.  You can thank John Phillips for this - he stuffed the "suggestion box"!!!  Seriously, I think it will be really great for all of you who get a ride in on your lunch hour, or come to the barn straight from work.

I got so caught up in the excitement of the "name the horse" contest between the "A team" and "B team", that I forgot a very important annoucement I was going to make!  I am very happy to announce the hiring of another trainer - many of you will remember him.  Dave Hysaw will be returning to Heartland Stables the end of February.  Dave has had his own barn in Arizona these past 10 years, but is ready to "return home" to Heartland.  Dave loves training, loves horseshows, and is ready to "brave the Iowa winters"  again!  I know you will all join me in welcoming Dave "home"!!

A big congratulations for Susan Aschenbrenner and Callaway's Cumulus, aka "Jack"  on their well earned award as UPHA People's Choice Horse of the Year Award! What a tremendous achievement!  Congratulations also to trainer, Amanda Simpson, for "teaming" Susan and Jack so well!!.

The question this time of year always is "is it too cold to ride"?  We will call you or text if we are going to cancel.  Everyone has different tolerence levels when it comes to being cold, so please just give us a text or call if you feel it is too cold for you - we definitely understand!!!
Call number again for cancellations would be 480-0786  or 986-4278.
